Lucien comes from a broken home. His father was extremely abusive to him during his childhood. I will put it bluntly ; Lucien was treated like dirt. Like an annoyance to be toyed with when bored.

Now comes the source of his disfigurement...

When Lucien was still a boy his father took him along on a hunting trip so that the boy could help gut the bucks he shot.

While his father was busy drinking around the campfire with his buddies Lucien ventured into the wilderness and was attacked by a pack of wolves. They ripped most of his face off. One of his father's friends found him sometime later near death and with a face that was little more than a mess of unrecognizable meat. His father reacted violently to this,refusing to take the boy to the hospital in fear that he'd be arrested for not caring for his child. Instead he took him home and used home remedies to fix the boy...he would force him to drink whiskey for the pain and would wash his wounded face with ice cold water every night,scrubbing it as hard as he could with a sponge.

By some miracle the boy's face finally healed without any major infection. But it healed into something awful. His face was so wretched and torn that he didn't even look human anymore. His lips were gone,most of his cheeks torn away,his forehead ruined,etc etc. As time passed Lucien's father came to hate the boy's appearance. He grew ashamed of him and then came up with a plan to put it right for good. He was a welder and carpenter by trade,so one fateful night he created The Mask.
He slammed it into Lucien's head while he screamed and tried to fight back,but it was no use. As the final nail in the coffin,Lucien's father snapped a lock onto his creation,closing the mask onto the boy's head forever.

Lucien ran away from home shortly after that,hoping to escape the cruelty of his father. He lurked in the underbelly of his a nearby city,finding what can only be called a "lair" to keep rain off his head in an abandoned basement room. As years passed he decided that since his face was ruined he would build his body into something strong and deadly. He trained hard and earned a massive physique. During this time he began to work small local wrestling events for cash,and as time passed that became his obsession. He loved to wrestle and with the wrestling world everyone had crazy gimmicks and such so no one really seemed too shocked by his appearance. Since they didn't know the real story behind it they simply thought it was another gimmick. How wrong they were...
